The French Operations Serval and Peace Process in Mali Conflict

After the end of the cold war, the number of intra state conflicts got a relatively increased on its number. However, some of the intra state conflict case study has been considered as internationalized conflict which there is third party involvement. In hand with the increasing issue on terrorism and insurgencies, this research will examines the French military intervention in Mali that are more likely to influence the peacemaking effort in Mali. The raised question is about the particular characteristics of foreign military intervention that can be strong enough to challenge the debates on third party military intervention. It seek to answer the ultimate question on what is the factors that the third party intervention gives in the relation with peace process in Mali Conflict. The French operation Serval, however gives me an opportunity to conduct an analysis to understand the peace process of Malian crisis in 2012.
