Abstract Catatan Hati Seorang Istri- the series was a phenomenon for the Indonesia series lover in the midst of 2014. It told the stories of family problems which related to daily life. The figures and their characters became entitled inside the audiences’ mind. They who are married could feel and reflect the stories with their life. Nonetheless, this research chose to foresight another approach by choosing the reception of bachelorettes through the characters of married women in the series. This research was conducted by in depth interview and observing to each of informants’ background. This research is initialized by the theory of audience reception in which the audience was formerly considered as passive agent. This research finally found that bachelorettes have different reception to each married women figures and characters in Catatan Hati Seorang Istri-the series. Differences were originated from their distinguished backgrounds, although they all agreed in terms of their future learning for their future families. To the further research, this current research suggests a comparison studies between the bachelorettes’ reception and married women’s reception to different series which have similar characters and stories with Catatan Hati Seorang Istri-the series.
