Konflik Antara British Petroleum dengan Masyarakat Teluk Bintuni, Papua Barat

For more than 15 years BP in the Teluk Bintuni, it experienced a ups and downs dynamics of conflict with the local community. Various conflicts occur ranging from mild such as oral protest to severe such as the destruction of the company's facilities. The number of conflicts that occurred in 2003 - 2011 is 244. This research used the case study method. Type of research is exploratory, because goal is to provide a basic overview of the issues discussed and generalizing the issue . This study is limited only by the conflict which is expressed in the public consultation in 2012. At least based on the categorization of the public consultation in 2012 result, there are four key issues that take place, namely: community land rights, limited public access due to exclusive zone, employment and implementation of integrated social proram (ISP). The results of this study to see why the conflict between BP and communities continue to be repeated. Actually, from the issues of the causes of conflict there, BP has set the goal of conflict resolution to that conflict is not getting bigger. However, the findings of this study see there are some problems that cause the conflict is keep repeating, such as conflict resolution are not on target, BP's lack of control in the implementation of social programs, low capacity of other actors which are involved in social programs, etc. Keywords: Conflict, Conflict Resolution, British Petroleum, Teluk Bintuni Community
