ABSTARCT Television has a major role in the growth of children, especially in learning indirectly. By looking at both the child and adolescent television can deduce the meaning of an event from their own perspective. Of course, the essence of which they take may not be true and appropriate meaning yet again when watching a show that should not be watched or adult show. In many countries, including Indonesia Anyone can buy television because the price is relatively cheap. Television is sometimes there show themes that can make us learn the norms and manners. Authors who want to underline here is the theme of nationalism, in which mainstream television shows are generally very minimal find events that highlight elements that can increase the sense of nationalism to the nation. Here the authors are interested in a TV show, entitled Bima Satria Garuda. Bima Satria Garuda a "Superhero" show, a genre that is quite rare in the Indonesian TV program. The author would like to see how far people can digest the TV show with the genre that could be considered anti-mainstream and want to see how people interpret the message contained in the event of Bima Satria Garuda. Reception analysis method is considered significant and is able to explain the views of the audience to watch and interpret the text. The position of the researcher is a participant observer, where the relation and interaction between researchers and research subjects may produce new knowledge without the determination and the tendency to manipulate the data.
