Media Baru dan Fanatisme Suporter:(Analisis Isi Akun Fanbase Tim Basket National Basketball League untuk Melihat Fanatisme di Twitter)

Abstract This research is aimed at identifying further about the extent of fanaticism of the supporters in the NBL Indonesia as shown through their conversations at Twitter. It employed the theory of Fanaticism and Interactivity that occurs in social media. This research belongs to a content analysis research, which is a research that is aimed at examining media messages by measuring or calculating the aspect of the content and presenting them quantitatively. Data were collected using non-probability/non-random sampling method. The data were tweets collected from March untill June via Kwitty, a Google Chrome’s web-based Twitter application. The data were then analyzed using SPSS as the instrument of analyzing the data. The data obtained were mapped statistically. The results of this research indicated that fanaticism in social media did not appear because such fanaticism belonged to soft fanaticism, not hard fanaticism as in football.
