ABSTRACT There are huge differences from time to time in media print in Indonesia. The existence of new media makes conventional media like media print become out of date. A lot of sport media now is no longer exist and gradually change their format of publishing, such as Soccer. Tabloid GO is also changed their publishing format from weekly to daily format to face the competition in media industry. Even though there are some pressure from the existence of new media, the conventional media is still can survive. Tabloid Bola for the example of conventional media that still can exist. Tabloid Bola is the first and the oldest sports print media in Indonesia since 1984. Nowdays, Bola is also publish print media such as Bola Vaganza, Harian Bola, FourFourTwo, Inside United and F1 Racing which is to expand the business and satisfy the sport reader. Bola has a different policy from similar media print, that one employee or journalist that have one job desk but can do multi tasking in different redaction and task in one time. Moreover, Bola create new trends that followed by others print media like Bola Poster, special edition for specific club, etc. Among the hard situation of new media, Bola is still exist with all the innovations and policy that they have done. This tabloid has succeeding in gather public’s attention and obtains many readers. Therefore, it’s interesting to look further at behind the production of this tabloid, at how the redaction team works to produce their media content. Relate to this phenomenon, a case study research needs to be conducted. This case study research concentrates more on the tabloid’s redaction team themselves about the practice of creating media content and managing the sources that they have to obtain their goals. This research shows that redaction management from this tabloid works accordingly to their vision, mission, and company’s goals. Keyword: case study, redaction management, sports tabloid.
