ABSTRACT This thesis discusses the formulation of appropriate strategies to develop micro industrial waste processing tapioka. Micro industry has the ability to absorb labor more effectively than large industrial. As well as micro industry tapioca waste processing, the emergence of the micro industry is able to open up new jobs and increase the income of the tapioca workers. It certainly has the potential to improve the life of the local community. But in reality, not all rural communities Srihardono realize this potential. To peel result in a more in-depth research, researchers used a qualitative research with a case study approach. Data were obtained obtained through direct observation and literature, researchers also conducted in-depth interviews to informants who have been assigned. In addition, the researchers also obtained data documentation; statistics, photos, and other data that is able to support ongoing. Informants in this research was 22 peoples; Lurah Srihardono Village, Head of UP-FMA Srihardono, Head of Nata Sarilo, Nata de Cassava workers, and local community Srihardono. Determination of informants was based on purposive sampling. The validity of the test data in the research was conducted by extension observation, triangulation, the adequacy of reference, and confirmability. As for the data analysis carried out through three phases; data reduction, display data, and conclusion. It also used a SWOT analysis. The results of this research are; through the identification of internal factors and external factors that exist in a micro industrial tapioca waste processing obtained the right strategy in order to develop micro industries. Determination of the strategy carried out by the SWOT method where the results of the SWOT Matrix can be seen a variety of alternative strategies that can be reached, where each of these strategies has different characteristics and in its implementation done together to support each other. Hopefully with these strategies, micro industries are capable of changing economic conditions of local communities become more prosperous.
