ABSTRACT Lilik Prasaja (09/288727/SP/23761) “Turkey’s Reaction to Syria Conflict” This research discusses about Turkey’s reaction to Syria conflict. Turkey as a close neighbor to Syria has been receiving many impacts from ongoing conflict. Many of those impacts endanger Turkey’s interests both directly and indirectly. Impacts on politics, security and humanity affairs were considered serious for Turkey. Those impacts triggered reactions from Turkey. In political affairs, Turkey’s reactions transform from hesitation into clear supports for democratization demand by Syrian opposition. In security affairs, Turkey keep showing paradox with thwarted Syria’s military threats but relatively permissive toward Syria militias activity. In humanity affairs, Turkey is being open and facilitated the existence of Syrian refugees. Turkey’s reaction to Syria conflict brought certain consequences. Political reactions affect bilateral and multilateral relations in the region. Security reactions made Turkey face fierce conflict along the borderline. The outcome of humanity reactions brought millions of Syrian refugees that brought many problems for their host. Keywords : foreign politics, Turkey, Syria conflicts, Middle East
