It often makes Japan should be able to respond with various energy policies that adjust its dynamics. Therefore, to overcome the inequality of consumption and production of energy, Japan has made a number of policies to promote nuclear energy as a primary energy of Japan. However, the Fukushima disaster that occurred in 2011 has damaged nuclear installations. It has brought Japan to energy crisis again. This undergraduate thesis aims to analyze how Japan responds Fukushima disaster 2011 in overcoming the energy crisis. It focuses on the roles of renewable energy coalition to influence Japan's energy policy, especially encountering nuclear energy policy, which is already stable. The roles of renewable energy coalitions will be explained in a scope of Advocacy Coalition Framework (ACF). The result of the research shows that the coalitions of renewable energy not only contribute to the initiation and policy-making but also to the increasing of renewable energy use directly.
