ABSTRACT This research aims to understand the fans meaning toward environtmental issue in Navicula’s song. Thus, it also inquire several aspects which have correlation with the meaning creation by Navicula's fans. In this case, mostly include several aspects, like socio-economic class, music choice, fandom degree, also media and environmental issue accessed by its fans. In addition, there are another aspects like local wisdom, family, profesion, and race. This research is a qualitative research using reception analysis method. The subject of this research is Navicula's fans to which they are being loyal listeners. All of the informans love listening the songs, interact with them, also understand lyrics of the songs which explored in this research. Each informans in this research has different background of life. The result showed that : 1.) Different fans interpret different meaning of the songs depend on their background. 2.) Fandom degrees are not always equivalent with the song's agreement. In the other word, the fans seem to have a high obsesion towards certain objects in Navicula's does not make them in the dominant reading position. 3.) The aspects which engaged with fans meaning not simply influence meaning construction. Several aspect like socio-economic class, music choice, fandom degrees, media and environtmental issue acess, and the other not influence by itself. 4.) Observed fans receive environmental messages of Navicula's song, but not always implementing to their life. Only few things implemented to thier everyday life.
