ABSTRACT The role of public relations in an organization at this time become a necessity even become a necessity. The role of public relations is becoming very important for government organizations, where the PR task is a continuation of the process of the establishment of policies and services for the wider community. Relating to the public interest here, we need a department as an arm of the government to regulate a variety of common interests and strategic country, one of the public interest and it is Direktorat Pelayanan, Penyuluhan, dan Humas Direktorat Jenderal Pajak. This study is a theoretical and empirical analysis of how the efforts made by Direktorat Pelayanan, Penyuluhan, dan Humas Direktorat Jenderal Pajak to be able to communicate public policy through programs, policies, and external activities. The study, conducted Direktorat Pelayanan, Penyuluhan, dan Humas Direktorat Jenderal Pajak aims to get an overview of the role, tasks and activities regarding the role of the Direktorat Pelayanan, Penyuluhan, dan Humas Direktorat Jenderal Pajak, especially in program income tax 1% for entrepreneurs. The study was conducted with a qualitative approach and case study research design. Data were collected through interviews with a number of relevant sources, observation, and documentation. This study tried to look at the role of public relations in government programs to communicate the payment of income tax 1% for entrepreneurs. Keywords: Role of PR, PR administration, case studies.
