ABSTRACT Employee readiness for organizational change must be paid attention to achieving success organizational change. This topic has been discussed by researchers abroad. But, in Indonesia literature that discusses employee readiness for organizational change is still very limited. Because of the limitations literature, this research is intended to examine employee readiness for organizational change, especially at the government institutions. More specific, this research aims to examine: (1) The influence of organizational commitment toward employee readiness for organizational change, and (2) The influence of job satisfaction toward employee readiness for organizational change. This research will be done by using quantitative research method with the data aggregation survey method. Survey methods will be done by using questionnaires and interviews as instrument. Respondents of this research were Civil servants of the special region government of Yogyakarta who have the group II, III and IV. Sample that used was 100 respondents that involve Civil servants from two agencies, namely Public works Service, Housing and Energy Mineral Resources and the Education Department, the Youth and Sports. In this research there are two hypotheses. More information, hypothesis test using multiple regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS program. Based on the analysis that has been done, both the hypothesis is accepted and supported by the data. So it can be concluded that the organizational commitment and job satisfaction has positive and significant impact toward the employee readiness for organizational change in the special region government of Yogyakarta.
