Abstract In Indonesia, child abuse is generally viewed as less important issue by society. Than those other political and social issues published by mass media, child abuse is also disposed got a lack information with low quantity and quality. Whereas, the amount of child abuse case is increase every year. As a real issue that happened in social life, child abuse could be revealed to public using other media. One of the alternative media is dramatic text or story. This research is analyze a dramatic text entitled Kintir (Anak-anak Mengalir di Sungai) in pragmatic way using semiotic analysis by Roman Jacobson to express image reflection of child abuse. Study on that dramatic text comprises two elements. They are hauptext as dialogue and nebentext or stage direction. As a poetic communication media, narration in Kintir offer the way to communicate that make intimacy to the reader and spectator. Beside by referential function, it is implemented in emotive, phatic, poetic, conative, and metalingual function particularly related to child abuse issue. Some intrinsic component in that story also has rhetoric metaphor (similarity) and metonymy (continuity) connected to child abuse issue. In Kintir, child abuse reflected as reality about abuse of a child in family and children on the street problem. Types of child abuse in this dramatic text are physical, psychological, and economic violence. Keyword: semiotic, dramatic text, reflection, Roman Jacobson, child abuse.
