Abstract In recent years, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) can be defined as companies acting in accordance with societal demands. CSR has gradually become a leading issue in business. CSR has various meanings and different context. The interest for CSR has grown rapidly the recent years and people are starting to demand that companies take their social responsibility. In the same time, companies have started to understand that they can use CSR as a strategy in order to gain benefits. An increasing number of companies have started to engage in CSR and it has even become trendy for companies in Indonesia to engage in CSR. Many argue that companies can gain enormous benefits by engaging in CSR while others argue that CSR engagement can have a negative effect on the company. This research was conducted at UmbulHarjo Village, Cangkringan district, Sleman, D.I. Yogyakarta. The method used is qualitative, which will describe the implementation of Peternakan Sapi Perah Terpadu programs. Empowerment program aimed at improving the welfare through a variety of efforts to be able to increase family income through the development of micro and small business loan activities, open access to resource access, woke critical awareness of the rights and existence in the social system, culture and economy, increased participation in the decision-making process in the family until the start of the public arena and the increase in the process of social control. xiii Result of this research is the implementation of empowerment programs in Umbulharjo which include Cangkringan district that it has been quite effective in accordance with program objective, program information and program objectives.
