Strategi Perancis dalam Mencapai Sustainable Inbound Tourisme(1990- 2012)

ABSTRACT Tourism is an important activity in international relations. In 2012 more than 1 billion activities of tourism recorded around the world. Currently, tourism development has become an economic strategy from developed to developing nations. France has the biggest inbound tourism since 1992 to 2012. In fact, since 1997 the number of international tourist inside of the countries exceed the number of local citizens. Proven that France is the most successful example of tourism development in the world. France ability to sustain its tourism development caused by the dominant role of government. The government has fulfilled all the obligations relating to tourism development in domestic and international level so France was able to adapt towards tourist’s demand. In tourism planning, France implement the concept of sustainable tourism development, to minimize the negative impact from tourism development. This concept also proven can balance the environment protection and provide equality to the people of France. Sustainable tourism development indeed impacted positively towards France’s tourism such as initiate new tourism destination, activities, and business. The government also perform well in coordinating, legislation, and act as investor in tourism development, so that the development is sustained and distributed well among the country. Infestation was given to the development of infrastructure supporting tourism development. Aside from that, government also function as stimulant for private sector. Finally, the relations between public and private sector can run dynamics and in harmony. The government actively shape the good image of France’s tourism in international level through promotion, marketing, branding, bidding and diplomacy.
