ABSTRACT Taiwan’s industrialization give way toward technological industry to developed. The rapid technological industry development happened since 1980s, until now Taiwanese corporation become a significant player in the international technology market. It can’t be separated from the role of government that provide significant assistance through industrial policies that favorable toward industry. Industrial policy at the early stage of industrialization and also the policies in the field of R&D is a major concern for Taiwanese government in advancing the technological industry. In this paper, writer will try to explain the influence of Taiwan industrial policies to advance their technological industry. Taiwanese corporation that was late to enter the market will be explained using latecomer firm concept. While the strategy that ran by government and corporation in this case will be explained using 3L concept. Main theory that used in this paper is developmental state and its derivative theory governed interdependence to explain about the form of relation and interaction between government and corporation Keyword: industrial policy, influence, technological industry, R&D, developmental state, Taiwan
