Kebijakan Investasi Di Indonesia Menuju ASEAN Economic Community 2015 Selama 2003-2013

ABSTRACT In October 2003, through the declaration of ASEAN Concord II, ASEAN member states agreed to immediately manifesting economic integration trough ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). Investment is one of the sectors that have the great potential of the progress of Indonesia’s economy. Indonesia is an emerging global powerhouse in Asia. With the GDP expected to reach US$ 1 trillion in 2012, Indonesia is the largest economy in Southeast Asia. Abundant natural resources, a young and technically trained work force and a large and growing domestic market, combined with an improving investment climate and a higher global profile, are just a few of Indonesia’s salient strengths. At their summit in November 2007 in Singapore, the ASEAN leaders adopted the ASEAN Economic Community Blueprint. The Blueprint is a comprehensive document that was crafted to realize the AEC by 2015. With the adoption of the Blueprint, ASEAN is now ready to move into an economic integration process that is driven by clearly defined goals and timelines. To be able to maximize the potential in investment sector, one of the most important factors that should be prepared by the Indonesia government is investment policy synchronization based on AEC Blueprint. This study examines how Indonesia government response AEC framework based on AEC blueprint. Based on analysis of various data, this study shows that The Indonesia government has synchronize the policy according to the framework which exists in AEC.
