ABSTRACT This research is motivated from Sari Husada’s CSR that implement in the Merapi Project with the aim to revitalize communities affected by the eruption of Merapi. Merapi Projec is made to build a sustainable economy with the participation of the community to develop a program of activities to be in continuous running. Community participation has its own level of participation shows that given the quality of the Merapi Project. This study aims to determine the application of Sari Husada’s CSR that implement in the Merapi Project, and to determine the level of community participation in Merapi Project. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Subjects are 3 people. Technique of collecting data through interviews, nonparticipant observation, and literature. Analysis techniques using interactive model is done through data reduction, data displat, and conclusion/verification. Validity of data is done through source triangulation. The results showed the Merapi Project done by promoting community participation so that walking is determined whether or not the program of community engagement. Levels of community participation in this study also refers to the delegated power, resulting from the presence of the authority which is to be right Merapi Project participants to be able to apply to his business and group.
