Nowadays, community based movement phenomenon often happens. Based on that phenomenon, this enographic research described how communication pattern of Jogja Berkebun Community in shaping the Urban Farming movement through new media is. Pattern of communication through new media in this research was classified into four patterns, namely allocation, conversation, consultation, and registration. Jogja Berkebun community uses new media, such as Email, Whatsapp, Line, Twitter, Facebook, and Blog. This qualitative descriptive study used ethnographic of participant observation research method. Informants were consisted of coordinator, initiator, public relations, social networking admin, and other activists from Jogja Berkebun Community. Researcher conducted the data collection techniques with indepth interviews, participant observation, and observation supporting documents. The results showed that each media had a different communication patterns. Jogja Berkebun community used mostly Whatsapp and Twitter as a media and it was dominated by conversation pattern. Interactivity in new media interaction was capable to support Urban Farming movement of Jogja Berkebun community. However, the role of new media was limited to introducing the Urban Farming movement and an invitation to do so, but not in the role of the mass changing.
