Abstract Globalization and cosmopolitanism are still becoming a less understanding issue related to the comprehentive practice of Intenational Relation studies. In this agenda, globalization and cosmopolitanism will be much practiced as the main frame, and also an umbrella of research related to the study case of “Study Abroad Experience and Its Influence to The Global Identity Building”. This research will become an endeavor to answer a possibility of dual indication, whether study abroad as the main reason why the global orientation arise, or it is just playing a great contribution to the strengthening of nasionalism in the process of identity building. The point of view of international relations studies will be much dominant on the process of this research. Meanwhile in similar research it will be much dominated by the other social studies, like anthropogy or sociology. Therefore, it is all broadly related by all the social studies in practice. International relations studies, as a main concept of the research, will talk specifically about the global practicion of the issue in the orientation of foreign policy, global consideration, and problem mapping in terms of the development of sustainable studies.
