Starting from the novel to the film adaptation, the trend of adaptation has been followed to other media. Printed media, as one of the media began its existence supplanted by more sophisticated media, also utilizing this strategy. With the context of the text to visual adaptation, comic becomes the choice of vonten adaptation. Content adaptation from novel to comic involves three parties: publishers, writers and the comic artists. All three have their respective roles are interconnected. The publisher determines what kind of content can be adapted with a view of the various considerations: the content, sales, and consumer response. While the writer, as the owner of the original idea, be involved with the aim that the reader can still feel the spirit of the original work. Comic artist as adapter clearly has important role in this adaptation process as key position. Adaptation of the novel to comic content itself basically has the main purpose of adding profit publishers. Thus, the increase in local comics market is happening in Indonesia at this time makes content adaptation in the field of printed media is increasingly widespread.
