Abstract Pasar Kranggan is one of the traditional markets in Yogyakarta city which has the largest amount of street vendors. The rising of street vendors caused situation around Pasar Kranggan became crowded and unmanageable. The local Government issued regulations 26 /2002 about managing street vendors. This research is aimed to explain how the implementation proceed and which factors that affect process of managing street vendors in Pasar Kranggan. Research method used is qualitative with descriptive analysis that is an overview of the research object. The results showed that the implementation of the managing Pasar Kranggan vendors have succeeded. The high rate of compliance traders become one of the program's success. Factors affecting the implementation of the managing traders are formed by the interaction pattern involving the association of street vendors into the program and the environmental factors surrounding the target group. The role of community can encourage members to understand the rules applied. The solution that government made is not only restricting operational hours but also provide proper place for street vendors. Keywords : Implementation, street vendors, managemenent.
