2013 | Skripsi | Ilmu KomunikasiAbstraksi The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child marked to combat the social issues regarding the discrimination over children’s right in all over the world, including Indonesia. However, the implementation is still far from ideal. Children advocacy in marginal area got dismissive response; therefore, policy has subjectively failed to accommodate children’s right. As the response of the marginalization and subordination toward children’s right, Sanggar Anak Akar as NGO (non-governmental organization) produced annual kid’s theatrical performing art, in order to convey the message about children’s right protection in Indonesia. To demonstrate about the ideal living environment for children, this medium of theatre itself has become the message. The message of the campaign merged in the management process executed by Sanggar Anak Akar’s campaign management team. During the time of production, they create space for children to celebrate their right of pursuing an alternative education and participate in cultural movement. Further, they prepare their audience to raise the awareness about children’s right as the message of the campaign. This research draws conceptual and practical approach from the social campaign management delivered through kids performing art of theatre in Akarnaval event from 2010 until 2013, held by Sanggar Anak Akar, Jakarta, Indonesia. The research also gives the strategic approaches to learn about the managerial process for management team due to campaign production.
