ABSTRACT Civil aircraft industry is one of the largest export of the United States. From several companies, Boeing is the largest company in the country. Their production planes dominate international civil aircraft market. Until the decade of the 2000s Airbus broke Boeing domination. The situation invites the attention of the American government. If the government does not issue a policy, then the state will lose one of its largest sources of revenue. Choice finally fell on strategic trade policy to create a comparative advantage for Airbus. Various aid given by the government in the hope that Boeing can survive and reclaim his position as the ruler of the market. Keywords: government, strategic trade policy, aid, subsidy, Boeing.
