There are many types of organizations and each organization has different characteristics. Those character differences make organization has the system which is automatically formed according to the organization’s ability to adapt to the environment. Organization of trade union is a formal organization formed of solidarity, togetherness, democracy, independence, and having uprising spirit to defend the welfare of workers. Organization of trade union’s character which upholds the spirit of solidarity makes they have the power that has to be reckoned by the government and entrepreneurs. When the welfare of the workers is disturbed, the organization of trade union is able to urge thousands of workers to conduct demonstration. It happened in 2012, where there was a workers’ protest with Hapus Outsourcing Tolak Upah Murah (HOSTUM) theme held on the highway. The action gave a great impact on the performance of the industry and government. This research chooses Federasi Serikat Pekerja Logam Elektronik dan Mesin Serikat Pekerja Seluruh Indonesia (FSP LEM-SPSI) as the object and aims to see how the organizational communication system occurs in the organization. Organizational communication which is built by FSP LEM-SPSI is able to urge thousands of members in the national range to take place in the protest motion in 2012. Besides explaining the organization’s internal communication, this research also explains the external communication built by FSP LEM-SPSI towards its environment. Result of this research shows that communication patterns occur vertically, horizontally, and diagonally in FSP LEM-SPSI organization’s communication. FSP LEM-SPSI’s strategy to solve the issue in industrial relationship is going through negotiation and factory sweeping action. The dynamics of organizational communication which occurred in FSP LEM-SPSI is influenced by either the organization’s internal or external communication.
