ABSTRACTION Corporate Social Responsibility as a common discussion is the effect of the rise of CSR practices in the world. PT Medco E&P Indonesia Rimau Asset has been conducting Educational Quality Improvement Program as corporate social responsibility in the educational sector for the society which resident around Ring I (ring satu) area. The program consists of formal and non–formal education scopes, for example Soccer School, a wide range of soft-skill trainings, and Bus Pintar MEDCO. In determining on how effective and intensive a community empowerment program, there are four dimensions that have to be measured: input indicators, process indicators, output indicators, and outcome indicators. The research was conducted in four villages; Babat Banyuasin Village, Tanjung Kerang Village, Gajahmati Village, and Langkap Village, which are located in Babat Supat District, Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatera. Qualitative method with descriptive analytic approach is used in this research. To collect data, this research used an in-depth observation, interviews, documentation, also literatures. Interviews were conducted openly and using purposive sampling technique in the determination of the informants. The conclusion that can be drawn from this research is that the public response to Educational Quality Improvement Program planning (both in top-down and bottom-up way) is positive. Meanwhile in the process of implementation of the program, the community seems very enthusiastic and appreciative. The community is also accustomed to think critically and understand the materials presented as responses in addressing the outputs and outcomes generated by the programs. The response shown fits the company's goal that matters the elements of the learning process in evaluating outputs and outcomes of the program.
