ABSTRACTION This research disussed about the meaning of “kantin kejujuran” for student as an anti corruption education. Background of this study is the lack of interest to learn about the meaning of “kantin kejujuran”. This is because a lot of canteen are bankrupt, to know the meaning of student to the canteen can be learned about the action of the student in the canteen. For every action there is a background of students. This study as a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach, because with this method can be described on the various meaning of students and the factors that lie behind them. The theory used in this study is the theory of social construction, because it can be used to analyze the underlying meaning of each action. Informants in this study were students of class VIII and IX which totaled 15 students, both men and women of regular students and KMS. The study site is located at SMP N 9, Kotagede, Yogyakarta. Based of the result of this research is that students interpret the meaning of the canteen with a variety of meanings. Eight informants interpret the canteen to practice honesty, independence training, practicing self discipline and character building efforts. Five of the eight informants was class VIII students. Whereas other informants, seven people interpret the canteen just as a place to hang out, a place for profit and help when they are hungry. Six of these informant is a class IX. The differences in meaning cause by grade level student and socialization and motivation they receive from teacher in the classroom and their parents at home. In this study also found that there has been a shift in the meaning fo canteen by students. They interpret the canteen is like other conventional canteen, namely as a place to sell food and make profit. It is obtained from informants class IX. Therefore canteen increasingly severe losses to stage school broke up in such losses. Bankruptcy often reflects the lost of honesty of students in the canteen. So that the canteen has failed to perform its function to train honestly among students. Key words: meaning, kantin kejujuran, theory of social construction.
