Abstract In the booming of women magazines these days proves that magazine has played an important role in giving information that can shape public opinions and also becoming public space and education for women. Kartini magazine is one of the magazines that show the life of Indonesian women in general. Kartini Magazine has a goal to be the best women‟s magazine, and also informative, entertaining and inspiring the reality which is very dynamic and with its own characteristics, that is why Kartini brought the issue of domestic violence up that has become current national issue. This research used qualitative method with analysis framing by Robert Entman as this research design to see the reality and idea construction that is addressed by Kartini magazine. This research shows how Postmodern Feminist especially Deconstruction and Foucoult‟s Power applied in mass media. From this point, by using „Oh Mama Oh Papa‟ which raises the issues of domestic violence, we can see how Kartini magazine becomes the arena to empower women to fight for gender equality key words: Kartini Magazine, Postmodern Feminist Decontruction, Women Empowerment, Gender Equality
