2013 | Skripsi | Ilmu Hubungan InternasionalABSTRACT Indonesian National Army (TNI) has sent peacekeeping troops with the United Nations – Nations since 1957. The first deployment with the aim of helping to alleviate the conflict in Egypt in 1957 is making Indonesia increasingly taken into account in the international arena. In subsequent years, the TNI increasingly frequent shipping on multiple international conflicts. Among the wide selection of other priorities for the military, the Indonesia government's decision to make peace as the preferred deployment priorities and change the orientation of Indonesia in security perspective, nevertheless the foreign policy and diplomacy perspectives. This paper describes the groundwork aspects of why Indonesia enhanced its commitment in peacekeeping operations to determine the response and policies of Indonesia’s government after actively contribute in peacekeeping operations. Beside, this paper would concern about Indonesia’s enhanced commitment through the establishment of Indonesia Peace and Security Center as a basis of peacekeepers training and as a manifestation of Indonesia’s willingness to increase its contributions in peacekeeping operation.
