The party was formed in 1992 in Sydney, but its origins can be traced to the early environmental movement in Australia. Founder of the Green Party is Bob Brown who then makes the Green as the National Party in 1992. Green Party leaders today is Senator Christine Milne and Adam Bandt as his deputy. Since its founding, the party's policy has been expanded from an exclusively environmentalism then start putting policies in tune with the philosophy of democracy, social justice, conservation, and the peace movement. More than 1.6 million Australian residents to vote in federal elections in 2010 and the level of such support is growing very fast.
