Peran Women of Liberia Mass Action For Peace dalam Mencapai Perdamaian di Liberia

2013 | Skripsi | Ilmu Hubungan InternasionalABSTRACT Liberia is multi ethnic countries with patriarch cultural system. This patriarch system limits freedom of the entire aspects of Liberian women. Liberia had experienced twice civil wars, they are: Liberian Conflict I (1989-1996) and Liberian Conflict (19997-2003). Liberian Conflict II had triggered the awakening of Women of Liberia Mass Action for Peace movement. The objective of this research was to analyze the role of Women of Liberia Mass Action for Peace which had fought for peace in Liberia. By conducting non-violence through strikes and persuasions and non-cooperation and intervention, Women of Liberia Mass Action for Peace had successfully pushed the conflicting parties to do peace talk. This attempt of Women of Liberia Mass Action for Peace was effective to stop conflict in Liberia and they had destroyed the patriarch system indirectly in Liberia.
