Peran Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) dalam Pencapaian Millennium Development Goals(MDGs) melalui Pembentukan Football for Hope

ABSTRACT Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) is an international organization that specializes in Football. FIFA has been doing a lot of humanitarian actions and use Football as a main tool. Since 2007, FIFA and Streetfootballworld have been working together in Football for Hope Movement. Streetfootballworld is a NGO that has focus on social development by using Football as a main tool. Football for Hope is a movement initiated by FIFA and one of the FIFA’s Corporate Social Responsibility. Football for Hope Movement has purpose to help United Nations (UN) for achieving UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Football for Hope’s activities are helping a lot of NGOs that have a specific focus and use Football as a main tool. For example, Football for Hope helps a NGO called Grassroot Soccer for preventing HIV/AIDS in South Africa. This paper would concern about global partnership between FIFA and UN and the main reason why FIFA want to achieve MDGs. And also how Football can be a tool for social development.
