Program Komunikasi MUI Kota Surakarta dalam Melawan Terorisme di Kota Solo

Abstract In the last decade, the issue of terrorism is an important issue both at national and international level. In fact, this issue has given the impression and the negative image of Islam. This is certainly trigger a response from Muslims in various elements to take the fight against the growing stigmatization. One of the institutions to fight is the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI). MUI of Surakarta city or commonly known as MUI Solo, is the only institution in Indonesia who take the fight against terrorism. In the consideration, MUI assume that the socialization of the teachings of Islam, Islamist actual condition (which involved terrorism), and an understanding of terrorism alone is the best solution to take the fight against terrorism. While socialization requires a communication strategy implemented in the communication program MUI Solo. The purpose of this study was to describe communication program conducted by the MUI Solo in the fight against terrorism. Solo MUI communication program using strategies that include internal communications strategy aimed at the element or Islamic organizations in Solo and external communication strategies directed at Surakarta City government, police, and the media. The form of this research is descriptive and qualitative approach using triangulation of data collection techniques that combine in-depth interviews and dokumentasi.Metode triangulation is used to collect data while testing the credibility of the research data. MUI Solo in conducting communication program using four approaches; approaches religious system, education system, associate system, and political system. Systems approach religion, education and associations are used to perform an internal approach to the party are the responsibility of the elements Solo MUI or Muslim organizations. A systems approach is used religion as a basis to approach the education system and the system implemented in the education system asosiasi.Pendekatan Socialization program and book MUI Solo white, advocacy journalism training, and leadership training Islamic movement. While the association conducted a systems approach to the formation of a forum of friendship between elements in the city of Solo.
