ABSTRACT PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia Duri district adopted Act No. 13 of 2003 to the work rules in the form of the Collective Labour Agreement (CLA). CLA regulate in detail about the rules of employment in which the rights and obligations of the company and employees during the employment relationship. Gender mainstreaming as a strategy to fight emerging in the staffing system adopted in each company, long used as a guide in preparing work regulations PT Chevron. Experience and maturity of PT Chevron in enforcing gender mainstreaming in the actualization of work rules, not necessarily absolve PT Chevron of side effects as well as new effects arising from the establishment of a policy or regulation in this regard to the female employees. PT Chevron is trying to prosper and meet the needs of female employees with consideration of the nature and carried a dual role, raises the issue of whether the specialization and with all the leeway provided by the company is an act of "protecting" or "discriminatory"? The answer to the issue obtained through in-depth and unstructured interviews with nine female employees, as well as direct observation to the study site. From interviews and brainstorming done to the nine respondents, although many respondents did not reveal directly, can be captured with a loaded impression that their perspective on regulation of PT Chevron. From here lah knowable side effects and the impact of the implementation of new labor regulations PT Chevron.
