Appropriate leadership style in carrying out group activities support the achievement of the effectiveness of local organization. Lack of women's participation due to fading and ineffective local organizations led government launched various women empowerment programs. The program makes one measure of its success is the effectiveness of local organizations / groups were formed. In contrast to local organizations established to access government programs, FP3K formed purely from community initiativesForum Peduli Perempuan Pengusaha Kecil (FP3K) located in the District of Ampel, Boyolali managed to empower women primarily on women micro entrepreneurs. One that plays a major role in the success of this organization is the chairman of the organization. Objective : This study aimed to describe the FP3K chairman ‘s leadership style Methods: This research uses descriptive method with quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques, to describe the state of research based on existing facts on the ground. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires and documentation study. Results: The results of this study show that Chairman F3PK apart as a leader is also the initiator and founder of the organization FP3K. Another role of chairman is to motivate members of the organization, liaison to interact with outsiders, develop insights and skills of members, maintaining organizational cohesion, and outlines the ideas in organizational development. There are four leadership styles adopted by the chairman FP3K. Implementation of the directive style is seen when the chairman gave the task to the members and of the organization and in their dealings with outside organizations. Application of supportive style looks when communicating and coordinating with the members. supportive leadership style is also seen when in the process of motivating members to be active in the organization. Participative leadership style looks when in the process of organizational problem-solving and decision-making. Achievement oriented leadership style seen as provide insight to members on the objectives and values of the organization FP3K Conclusion: FP3K Chairman in leading the organization implement four leadership styles, directive, participative, supportive and achievement oriented. Application of the four leadership styles based on the situation faced by the chairman and members of local organizations FP3K characteristics Suggestions: 1) opportunities for members to make their own decisions within the organization FP3K still low. So chairman must be more giving an opportunities and entrust tasks or activities of the organization entirely on members. 2) Leader of local organizations are expected to pay more attention to whom they lead and the characteristics of the situation. Local organizations that are informal and voluntary membership requires leaders who firmly and have a clear vision or purpose.
