ABSTRACT The most important aspect in determining the success of the planning and development of tourist destinations is tourism, must be known in advance (through a study) on the characteristics of travelers are expected to come, what kind of tourist perceptions, any country of origin, young or old, what profession and what are their favorite and the season or what time they will travel. And here for Parangtritis tourist destination has the highest traffic in Bantul. Although the highest in the number of visits each year but did not escape Parangtritis of complaints from tourists. Supported also to see the success of the destination is not enough just from the number of visits only. And in this study to determine the efficacy bertujuang Parangtritis tourist destination and the factors that influence the perception by tourists. The research method used in this research is the study deskripif-qualitative approach. The first will see the level of success of tourist destinations Parangtritis then new on the factors that influence the perception of tourists visiting. From the analysis in this study was successful tourist destinations Parangtritis measured by three indicators: a comparison of the number of visits each year fairly stable, fairly high level of repeat visits but for travelers spending levels are not too high because most travelers visit only for a single day. Factors that significantly influence the success rate Parangritis Coast travel destinations based on perceived attractiveness rating is quality, security conditions in the region tourist attractions, complete facilities and easy access to tourism attractions. As for the issue of cleanliness, quality of service and affordability products still have a lot to be improved to attract tourists to visit.
