Negotiations on agriculture become a very complicated talks in the round of WTO negotiations. This is due to the persistence of the attempt of states to protect their agricultural sector. When developing countries initiated Special Safeguard Mechanism (SSM) in the Doha Round, the complexity of negotiation became very prominent. Considering that situation developing countries as India has to have a strategy to face this tough negotiation. India’s diplomacy strategy is making coalition with other developing countries to attain its interest related to this new safeguard mechanism.
