Tantangan Bagi Sistem Federalisme Pemerintahan Kanada Terkait Penyelesaian Isu Quebec

One of the most prominent actors in the International Relations is countries, where more prominent issues happen as a challenge for them. Multicultural countries tend to face more challenges, where usually come from the people themselves. In some cases the challenges may not be heard but in some, it may endanger the countries‘ unity. Canada is one of those countries once faced a serious case concerning its unity where the challenge came from the Québec province with the 1995 referendum. Even though the referendum was finished with the defeat of the Québec separatists, the society was often expressing their disappointment for the federal government and so the issue was brought back to the surface the past years prior to the general election of Québec. Therefore this thesis will look at how the federal government dealt with this issue and try to find out why they still don‘t succeed in totally embracing the Québec society.
