Positioning their selves as the guardian of the state, military committed some interventions since 1960, both direct or indirect. The “Kemalism Principle”s and the concept of national security have been the justifications of each interventions. Every time military thought that the country was endangered by the civilian goverment, military would requisition the governmen and replace it whit a new one. After one intervention to other ones, the political access military got had been accumulated. The civil-military relations marked by the lackness of civilian control over the military, neither was the professionalism of military as well. Since 2003, when Recep Tayyep Erdogan from AKP holding position as the prime minister of Turkey ,writer has been observing that the civil military relations is in transition from its old path. This composition made to give an explanation of the main idea that the era of Erdogan’s government is the era of the new civil military relations since 1960 coup d’etat, indicated by marked high civilian control over military and eminent efforts of the government in making military out of politics, trying to make them professional military. As the time goes by, the civil supremacy over the military is significantly strengthened, while the political roles of military is highly decreased. The change of civil military in Turkey is indeed in a process that has not been done. However, it is not going to be an easy way for military to do such interventions like they did. Erdogan’s government seems not like the other governments before it.
