Under the leadership of Howard's, which is Liberal Party-influenced, there was minimal effort in the issue of reconciliation between indigenous Australians and the majority people of Australia. The policy reached its peak in 2007 when Australia chose not to ratify UNDRIP. However, under the leadership of Rudd in 2009, Australia changed its policy to ratify UNDRIP. This thesis will analyze further about the influence of organizational behavior and also pragmatism of the both parties in addressing this issue.
