In the present time, blogging had become a choice for many internet users. Weblog or blog is a part of interactive communication medium with its advantage in information transaction that brings faster feedback. Blog is not only use as an avocation but also becomes a new information source for many people. Blog’s characters is private and deemed to be a representation of it’s owner. Blog’s articles is a shape of new media too It is interested to analyze the messages that communicated by bloggers with certain contents. So, what is expected from this research about the messages that brought by blogs, is to reveal how far a blog can be one of information sources that gift all the good and had an effect on everyday life. Articles on www.sangnanang.dagdigdug.com, www.yudhakaryadi.com, and www. kaumbiasa.com have specific topic about Magelang. These blogs have written by three bloggers that have a special closeness with Magelang. Every blogger constructed a discourse about Magelang with their own style to support this region potential. Because the increasing of region potential in Magelang could support local development in Magelang Keywords : weblog, new media, discourse construction
