ANALISIS MUNDURNYA KEVIN RUDD SEBAGAI PERDANA MENTERI AUSTRALIA

According to the result of Labor caucus which held on June 24th 2010, Kevin Rudd should resign from his position as Prime Minister of Australia. The decline of support to Kevin Rudd have already seen according to polling result, a few months ago before he resigned. It’s caused of the problem or controversy in his policies on Super Profit Resources Tax (SPRT), Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme (CPRS), and the problem in implementing refugee’s policy. The emerging of those problems has made many Australian people diverted their support from Kevin Rudd. Then, Australian Labor Party (ALP) thought that the party should change the leader because they didn’t believe that the party could win the election if Kevin Rudd still become the leader of ALP. The downfall of Kevin Rudd in caucus caused of the strong influence of factions in ALP, especially right wings which gave full support to Julia Gillard for become the Prime Minister of Australia. This thesis would explain an overview of the democracy system, gender equality, and the pragmatism of Australian people in politics.
