The concern is the using of Facebook as a media campaign by Australia Labor Party (ALP) in federal election 2007. As a social network site, Facebook has grown not only as a media to connect people but also as a media for social movement and political communication like what ALP did in 2007. Therefore, the thesis will attempt to answer these questions; „Why did ALP choose Facebook as a campaign media?‟ and „How did the mechanism of the using of Facebook as a media campaign?‟ What ALP had done can be explained using the concept of Political Marketing. Political Marketing refers to strategy of a political institution to persuade people. Ultimately, there will be three focuses in the research.
