Government uses the media in order to have their message communicated to the people. In the other side, people use the media to make feedback of the government’s policy. Nevertheless, the media do not simply report, in a neutral and impartial way. What media present to the public is constructed reality, meaning events as covered by the media. How do the media construct the reality? And how does it affect the foreign policy making process? Media’s coverage about extradition and defense cooperation agreement between Indonesia and Singapore will be the case study to help answering that two research questions. Keywords: media, constructed reality, foreign policy making process
