This thesis discusses about The Live 8 concert held in July the 6th and the 8th 2005 and how it effect the whole sequence of Make Poverty History movement. This thesis analysed the significance of the concert in bringing more political force from the voice of the participants. New social movement and global society will be the main theories to eximine this new trend of expressing opinion through an inconventional ways. The analysis itself will cover the the identity constructed by the event, the framing process, the role of media, the power of actors influences, and the concert as a global phenomenon. This concert believe to be one of the most considerable the history of movement that adding new alternative in making diference in the world. Keyword: New social movement, Identity, Concert, Africa
