2009 | Skripsi | Ilmu Hubungan InternasionalUNITED STATES OF AMERICA HEGEMONY IN GLOBALIZATION BY MEANS OF MARKETING AMERICAN CULTURE PRODUCTS ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to understand why globalization saw as Americanization permeated through all over the world. And in my opinion, this phenomenon of Americanization in globalization was foreign policy from United States of America to implant its hegemony in global politic by means of spreading American culture products. American culture consist of entertainment such as MTV, Disney Land, Hollywood Movies, fast-food such as Mc Donald’s, KFC, Pizza Hut, and most of product in our life is from America company. American culture is not just only about commercial products, but also spreading the values and life style of American people. From the result of the research which had been done, some of the people in the world, had become fanatic consumer of American culture products by reflection in Yogyakarta consumer of American culture products and also had become life style for them. This group of people are become a foundation bed and front guard of keeping hegemony United States of America in globalization era. It means United States of America had been succeeded implant and holding its hegemony in globalization era. Key notes: Americanization, American culture products, hegemony.
