PERAN SIXTH CLAN INITIATIVES DALAM KESETARAAN GENDER DI SOMALIA

Sixth Clan Initiatives, inspiring women groups in Somalia walk through social-political boundaries, the clan. They use the chances when civil war erupted to organize women to demand for gender equality. Before Sixth Clan Initiatives, gender inequality can be found in every aspects of Somalia society. Therefore, this writings will attempt to answer these questions; what set of problems which pushed by Sixth Clan Initiatives in gender equality? What Sixth Clan Initiatives do for change? What chance they use? What Sixth Clan Initiatives had done could be explained by social conflict theory, the positive side of it. They use both internal and external mechanisms such as cognitive, more cognitive and relational mechanisms. In sum, there will be two focuses in this research.
