The emergence of neo- liberal economic globalization in the late 1990’s had brought out several forms of confrontation toward the system it founded. The global capitalism is also advancing along with those resistances which stimulated from global civil society. In this case, the World Social Forum (WSF) apparently had integrated the worldwide resistance movements into a more sophisticated and diverse gathering means for almost every single figure of anti-globalization organization and movement. Trends in shaping the WSF identity and platform which are very loose and flexible to gain more support, had led them to the query of effectiveness on running the movement itself. A first antagonism of its annual summit was to counter the World Economic Forum (WEF) as an utmost summit of neo-liberal economic globalization supporters. However later on, the forum faced many internal challenges on the organizational dimension that they could not handle themselves thoroughly. The problem started to get worse since there was never a ruling body there to govern the process of the forum, as the dreadful framework making contributes into the mess as well. Social movements need to make clear and comprehend the problem that they indeed are facing so that they could evolve into a more effective shape. Moreover, they should also have the capability to diffuse the issues or even the political action into a more localized level, for the sake of establishing influences and gaining more support from the opponent as a mode of conversion.
