PERAN BURAKU LIBERATION LEAGUE dalam PERJUANGAN EMANSIPASI BURAKUMIN

This is what Buraku Liberation League firmly believes and what drives BLL to advocate emancipation of Burakumin. This thesis will firstly discuss the role of BLL in efforts of Burakumin’s emancipation by elaborating key strategie s and actions exercised by BLL. The question is how the combination of these strategies delivers BLL gaining support from within Burakumin and making BLL the prominent representation of Burakumin? The second point of discussion will highlight the interacti on of BLL and its surrounding -political environment especially the state as the most important target of BLL’s claim and actions. By not neglecting important events and issues from other period, the elaboration will mainly focused on period from Post Worl d War II until 1969 when the Dowa Special Measures Law legalized and enacted.
