Current Vietnam’s economic system, in fact, is giving a huge success for their economy. The interesting point of Vietnam’s economic development is the adjusting concept of economy in year 2001, which is triggered by social condition in the market mechanism period, confrontation among the political elites, and globalization factor. Vietnam is formally commited to developing a marketoriented economy albeit under state control, opening up its economy, and integrating with the regional and global economy. The Asian financial crisis has raised serious doubts in the minds of some party leaders and they have deliberately slowed the pace and scope process. The current picture is very mixed one, indeed, as Vietnam tries to insulate itself from the adverse effects of globalization, preserve its national identity, and integrate with a regional of great economic and political diversity.
